This Payment Policy sets out accepted payment methods, currency rules, data security measures, fraud verification procedures, pre-authorisation holds and dispute resolution rules for transactions on www.elowyn.shop, compliant with German financial regulations and EU anti-fraud standards.

Only payment options displayed on the checkout page are valid for completing orders. All transactions require full authorisation before order picking and dispatch commence.

Currency and Final Order Total

All product prices are displayed in EUR. Your final checkout amount includes item subtotal, delivery charges, applied promotional discounts and applicable German VAT where required, calculated based on your delivery address.

If your bank operates in a different currency, any international conversion fees imposed by your financial institution are non-reimbursable and beyond our control.

Payment Data Security

Our checkout system is fully encrypted and processed through Shopify's PCI DSS accredited payment service providers.

Elowyn does not store full card numbers, security CVV codes or expiry dates on our servers. All sensitive payment information is managed in accordance with GDPR and global payment industry security protocols.

Billing Verification and Order Cancellation Rights

We reserve the authority to pause or cancel orders under the following circumstances:

• Payment authorisation is declined by your card provider
• Billing address fails to match the registered card address
• The transaction is flagged by automated anti-fraud systems
• Incomplete customer identity or order information is submitted

We will contact you by email if an order is cancelled for security verification purposes.

Pre-Authorisation Card Holds

A temporary pending authorisation hold may be applied to your card balance when you place an order, in line with standard banking practices. This hold will automatically be released after order cancellation or successful refund processing, subject to your card issuer's internal timelines.

Declined Payments

If your payment fails to process, please verify card validity, billing address accuracy and available funds. Contact your bank directly for further troubleshooting.

Unpaid orders will not enter our fulfilment workflow.

Chargeback and Dispute Guidance

If you identify billing errors, duplicate charges or unrecognised transactions, please contact our customer support team first to resolve the issue before raising a chargeback claim.

Directly opening a payment dispute will extend investigation and resolution timescales.

Order Confirmation

A payment confirmation email will be sent to your checkout email address upon successful transaction. Double-check your delivery address and product details immediately and reach out to us promptly for any corrections.
